We are delighted to be working with Western International School of Shanghai to organise the conference on November 5, 2016. This year, we are happy to expand our standard conference by offering two pre-conference opportunities (choose one):

Option 1: The Fundamentals of International School Admissions Thursday / November 3, 2016    &    Friday / November 4, 2016

Catalina Gardescu American International School of Bucharest Manager of Admissions & External Relations This two-day certificate course covers the fundamental skills required to manage an international school admissions office. Topics range from the school tour, to managing parents’ expectations, to interpreting & using data, to transitioning students into the community. Time for reflection and networking is built directly into the course, which culminates in a final take-home assignment. *Geared towards admissions officers with 0-5 years worth of experience

 

Option 2: Transition & Mobility Friday / November 4, 2016

Drs. Douglas W. Ota Psychologist Author of Safe Passage A one-day workshop led by Drs. Douglas W. Ota: Psychologist, Author of Safe Passage, on how mobility affects people & what international school admissions staff can do about it. This workshop is geared towards experienced international school admissions staff seeking to deepen their understanding of how mobility affects the families who come through their schools. *Geared towards admissions officers seeking to deepen their understanding of families and students in transition.
