New Parent User Interface

We are excited to unveil an enhanced parent user interface (UI), to help further streamline the school admissions experience for families.

OpenApply’s new and improved parent UI is set to optimise the admissions process by offering a sleek, modern design coupled with enhanced functionality, making it even easier for parents to manage their applications seamlessly.

The revamped UI, which is mobile-friendly and boasts an intuitive design, has been meticulously crafted to simplify the parent experience and elevate the image of participating schools. With a focus on improved navigation and a cleaner interface, parents can effortlessly steer through the admissions process, from submitting applications to paying fees.

Key features of the enhanced parent UI include:

  • Modernised design: Aesthetically pleasing interface that aligns with the level of professionalism and accessibility that schools aim to uphold.
  • Improved navigation: Intuitive layout for seamless navigation across the platform.
  • Mobile compatibility: Enhanced responsiveness for optimal viewing on various devices.

The rollout of the new UI has already commenced, with a select number of schools benefiting from early access. The update is scheduled to be deployed to all other OpenApply schools by April 10, 2024.

Looking ahead, we have exciting plans for further enhancements in 2024, including customisable landing page templates and expanded colour and theme options, providing schools with additional tools to differentiate themselves and reinforce their brand identity.

In response to common queries from users, we would like to share the following guidance:

  • Schools do not need to take any action to receive the update, as it will be deployed automatically.
  • Following deployment, schools are advised to ensure that school photos and page content display correctly in the new interface. Detailed instructions are available here.
  • Despite the visual overhaul, the core functionality remains unchanged, ensuring that parents can continue to access key features without interruption.
