Maria English is the Marketing and Admissions Officer at Western International School of Shanghai (WISS), the first four programme IB continuum school in Shanghai. Prior to WISS, she was the Admissions Manager at Shanghai American School. Having lived in China for 16 years, Maria has seen the dramatic changes in the enrolment ecosystem of international schools due to China's fast developing economy. From paper applications to everything now online, Maria has experienced the entire transformation towards data-driven admissions and marketing and harnessing that data to drive enrolment and marketing decisions.
