JL: First of all, it’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly a year – wow!
One thing that I have always appreciated is the connections that I’ve made over the years in admissions. It has been amazing how supportive former colleagues and contacts have been. I am doing a bit of consulting work with some international school admissions offices. This work has been really fulfilling as I can share my own experiences to help support their efforts.
Because of my experiences working in international schools, and my upbringing as a third-culture kid (TCK), I have always been passionate about transitions-care, an important topic that is near and dear to my heart. I was thrilled when I was asked to take on the part-time volunteer Director of Engagement role for Safe Passage Across Networks (SPAN), an organization supporting positive transitions-care in international schools.
